As I came across a shiny bright yarn named COTTON STAR (TEDDY'S WOOL) I knew exactly what I want to do with it – fancy coasters!
The combination of lurex (15%) & recycled cotton (85%) produced a beautiful texture that I really love.
Since it is a thin yarn, I crocheted the coasters using double thread of yarn & a 4 mm crochet hook. And guess what? from one skein that contains 100 g and 230 m, you can crochet 6 units!
I think this can be a lovely gift to the craft lovers who appreciate handmade products.

היות והחוט הזה דק, סרגתי בחוט כפול ובמסרגה 4 מ"מ. חבילה אחת מכילה 100 גרם ו- 230 מטרים והיא מספיקה לסריגת 6 יחידות כאלה. מתנה נפלאה למי שמעריך ואוהב עבודות יד.

This coaster will be crocheted in joined rounds.
The ch 2 in the beginning of the rnd does not count as a st.

Rnd 5
We will start this rnd in the next ch 4 sp. In order to get there, we will crochet 1 sl st to each of next 2 chs - using the 2nd method that is demonstrated in this video tutorial in min 1:36 =>

The needle is located where you should crochet the 1st sl st. In the same way - you will crochet the next sl st to the next ch.
המחט ממוקמת היכן שנסרוג את הע' השטוחה הראשונה. באותו האופן נסרוג גם את הע' השטוחה הבאה בע"ש הבאה.
Then crochet 1 sl st to the 1st ch 4 sp in this rnd. From here you will start Rnd 5.
אח"כ נסרוג ע' שטוחה לרווח 4 ע"ש הראשון בסיבוב. מכאן, נתחיל לסרוג את הסיבוב ה- 5.
I recommend placing a marker in this sl st, since this is the place where you will join this rnd.

Cut the yarn leaving a 10 cm tail. and pull it from the st.
Join the rnd using a needle - insert the needle to the marked sl st,

Cut the yarn leaving a 10 cm tail and pull it from the st.

נגזור את החוט ונשאיר קצה של כ- 10 ס"מ ונשלוף אותו מהתפר. נסגור את הסיבוב בע' מדומה - נשחיל את החוט למחט ונכניס אותה לתפר שסמנו בסמן,
and to the bl of the last sl st, while you will end up in the WS of the coaster.
נחזור לע' האחורית של הע' השטוחה האחרונה, ונסיים את התהליך בצד השמאלי של העבודה.
