Evil Eye * 2 units
Rnd 1 (Blue yarn)
Create a mr, ch 1 (does not count as a st), 14 dc into the mr pm the 2nd dc (14 sts), cut the yarn, leaving a 15 cm / 5.9” tail & pull it from the st,
Using a needle, insert the yarn to the 2nd dc, & back to the bl of the last dc & under the little bar behind it. Add a st between the 1st & last dc and weave in all extra yarn.
ניצור טבעת קסם, ע"ש 1 (לא נחשבת תפר), 14 עמ' לטבעת הקסם - נסמן עמ' 2 (14 תפרים),
נחתוך את החוט תוך השארת כ- 15 ס"מ ונשלוף אותו מהתפר.

Rnd 2 (Turquoise yarn)
Start crocheting in any st except the last one from the previous rnd,
A standing sc & ch 1 (count as the 1st dc),
1 dc to the same st pm in this st,
5 dc inc, (1 edc, 1 tr crochet , 1 edc) to next st (=corner),
6 dc inc, (1 edc, 1 tr crochet , 1 edc) to next st (=corner), (30 sts),
Cut the yarn, leaving a 15 cm / 5.9” tail & pull it from the st,
Using a needle, insert the yarn to the 2nd dc,

Insert the crochet hook from the WS into the 2nd dc in the previous rnd, pull the enlarged loop, pm the loop you just pulled from the RS of your work
and from the RS crochet 1 sc to the same st,
18 sc, 3 sc to next st (=corner) pm the 2nd sc
22 sc, 3 sc to next st (=corner) pm the 2nd sc , 3 sc (50 sts)
נכניס את המסרגה מהכיוון הפנימי של היריעה שאנו סורגים לעמ' ה- 2 בסיבוב הקודם, נמשוך את הלולאה המוגדלת, נציב סמן בלולאה המוגדלת מהצד הימני של העבודה, ומאותו צד ימני נסרוג ח"ע 1 לאותו התפר,
18 ח"ע, 3 ח"ע לתפר הבא (=פינה, נסמן תפר 2),

Cut the yarn, leaving a 15 cm / 5.9” tail & pull it from the st,
Using a needle, insert the yarn to the 2nd sc, & back to the bl of the last sc & under the little bar behind it. Weave in all extra yarn.
Crochet the 2nd unit.

בעזרת מחט ניצור עין מדומה - נכנס תחת ח"ע ה- 2 וחזרה, לע' האחורית של ח"ע האחרון בסיבוב. נחביא חוטים. נסרוג יחידה שניה.
Join the 2 units
Take one evil eye piece and put it on the table, while its WS is facing you. Lay the 2nd evil eye piece on the 1st piece, while its RS is facing you. We will crochet 1 sc st to each 2 matching sts in the 2 pieces, except the corners, where 3 sc will be crocheted.
Insert the crochet hook to the st right after a marked corner st in the 2nd evil eye piece & to the matching st in 2nd evil eye piece.
Now, pull a loop and ch 1 – this counts as the 1st sc st, and it will look as a sc st after joining this rnd.
23 sc, pm the 1st sc out of the 23, 3 sc to the next st (=corner) pm the 2nd st in the corner,
24 sc – stuff the evil eye after 13 sts and then keep crocheting
3 sc to the next st (=corner) pm the 2nd st in the corner,(54 sts – 53 sc & 1 ch that will look as a sc after joining this rnd).
Cut the yarn, leaving a 15 cm / 5.9” tail & pull it from the st,
Using a needle, insert the yarn to the 1st marked sc, & back to the bl of the last sc & under the little bar behind it. Weave in all extra yarn.

Placing The Hanger
Place the leather thread between the 13th & 14th sts from the middle of the corner, while leaving a loop, and insert the edges to the loop & pull them.
נמקם את חוט התליה בין תפרים 13 ו- 14 מהסמן. נכניס את קצותיהם לתפרים המפורטים לעיל תוך השארת לולאה ומשיכת הקצוות שלהם דרכה. מומלץ להיעזר בסרטון ההדגמה.
Placing The Bead & Creating a Tassel
Using a 60 cm / 23.66” cream yarn piece, we will repeat the actions as for the leather thread at the bottom of the evil eye.
Insert the yarn edges into a needlee & into the bead hole & put it aside for now.
Cut 20 more pieces of 25 cm / 9.84” cream yarn and 1 piece of 60 cm / 23.66”.
Place the 20 yarn pieces in the middle, between the 2 edges with the bead.
Create a double not around them using those 2 yarn edges.
Place the yarn down so it will cover the double knot.
Take the 60 cm yarn piece and create a knot around the yarn approx. 1.5 cm under the bead.
Wrap each yarn edge around the yarn pieces 3 times and create a double knot to secure.
Weave the yarn edges in the tassel with a needle.
Cut the tassel – mine is 7.5 cm / 2.95” long.
נגזור חוט בצבע שמנת באורך כ- 60 ס"מ ונקשור אותו באותו האופן בו קשרנו את חוט התליה רק בצד השני, התחתון, של העין. בעזרת מחט נכניס את קצוות החוטים לחרוז ונניח את העבודה בצד לרגע. נגזור 20 חוטים בצבע שמנת באורך כ- 25 ס"מ, ועוד חתיכה באורך כ- 60 ס"מ. ניקח שוב את העבודה ונניח את 20 החוטים במרכזם על גבי קצה אחד של החוט שהכנסנו לחור החרוז, ונקשור קשר כפול בעזרת 2 קצוות החוטים שהושחלו לחרוז. נכסה בעזרת הטיית החוטים מטה את הקשר. בעזרת החוט באורך כ- 60 ס"מ נקשור סביבם קשר במרחק כ 1.5 ס"מ מהחרוז. נלפף כל קצה חוט 3 פעמים סביב החוטים, כאשר כל קצה חוט ילופף לכיוון שונה. נקשור קשר כפול ובעזרת מחט נבליע את החוטים בגדיל וכך נטשטש את הקשר.
